    • I have a jie pi, is that i like cleanliness alot.. I tend to use soap to wash my hand after using toilet or after touching something I feel is dirty.

So the thing is, I like cleanliness so much, I hate to share personal items like clothes etc. But I feel it's still dirty even after washing.

But recently, my brother started to wear my tee, it started from asking whether he could wear, so I just let him wear those I stopped wearing already but now it's becoming to the point he just wear without telling me.

I don't know how to tell it to him or my parents, but he's been quite happy though, telling my parents that, i buy 1 shirt can 2 person wear.

BUT I DON'T LIKE IT. NOT THAT I AM SELFISH BUT I REALLY DON'T LIKE TO WEAR THINGS PEOPLE HAVE WORN BEFORE. IT'S LIKE VERY UNHYGENIC

      Anyone help?

    • This is some kind of anxiety disorder known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I have found a website with more info on this disorder and ways to manage it.  Hope it helps.  Take care! icon_wink.gif

    • Don't be too critical of yourself lah, bro. Washing your hands with soap after using toilet and touching something dirty is normal wad. Isn't that what we were taught at young? That's what anyone who takes note of his personal hygiene would do. Being hygienic does not mean you are a neat freak. Unless you go overboard, like say, washing your hands 10 times in a row while sniffing at it to check if there's any smell, then you probably need to consult a doctor. I personally think it is ok if you don't feel comfortable sharing clothes. Just like some people don't like to share food and drinks (saliva), and some people don't share pants/shorts. You can just tell your family nicely, that you just don't feel comfortable sharing clothes, just like no one shares their underwears. Just tell them in a way you feel they would understand...and if they don't, you can suggest to them you will buy 2 piece of the same design in the future, and your parents can help chip in the $$$. :P

    • Wah seriously leh... you need some help here... you cant share then you go army how?? It much much more dirty lor...

Dont tell me the sergeant ask you knock it down 20... then instead of saying "Permission to recover Sergeant"... you would say something like "Permission to wash my hands Sergeant".. Come on lor nothing to be afraid of... its only sharing between you and your brother not some bangala right?? If you really like to be so hygienic and clean... then you go stay in a bubble lor like the bubble boy... Totally clean!!

Whan a smoker exhale smoke, do you see how the smoke travels?

A person breathe out, the expelled air travels the same way, except that you do not see the expired air. You have been breathing used air many times already.

Your cleanliness is a psychological compulsion, and not a hygiene practice.

I think FI meant that if you think anything that someone has used before is unclean, then technically speaking, you shouldn't be breathing since the air you breathe in was exhaled and inhaled many times by OTHERS too.

    • What you have is obsessive compulsive disorder.

"The most successful treatments for OCD are behavioral therapy and medication. Behavioral therapy, also known as cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy (CBT)"
